Survived Black Friday 2017
Managed to make it through Black Friday just fine.....character intact, in the comfort of my own home with plenty of way more than any human being could ever need. Woo-hoo! 🙋🏼👍🏻🙌🏻
Mom always said bread, eggs, milk, tp - you know, the staples - if you have that, you're good. Well, she was right. Sure miss physically "hearing" 👂the mom-isms" during the holidays, just glad I have them committed to memory to fall back on!
This leads me to be thinking what it might be like for my kids and grandkids on "Black Friday" in just a short few years? 😖😝😕
Will it be one designated day or a lifetime to bludgeon someone over a super sale on Keurigs or set up camp with machetes and mace to ensure they get the latest brain chip that they can't think without? All while in the distance, I hear Cyndy Lauper....singing True Colors and Madonna interjecting her "Material Girl". You know, the 80's middle generation actually forecasted some serious truths!!
There is no wonder with age why we begin to look back into memory for the moments when people would make us feel safe and secure and sure of our next step in life. The human race of fellowship without harm....ya know?
Word for today: I am still loving Lucy, missing my mom, and loving on my tribe - til' my last breath because of this:
One Constant Truth in this old world of mass destruction (no pun intended) is this:
Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever. Hebrews 13:8. Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or terrified because of them, for the LORD your God goes with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you." Deuteronomy 31:6
Love y'all!! ❤️
